Dr. Johnson established the Richardton Dental Clinic in 1983 following graduation from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. Following graduation, he followed his motto of “Dedicated to Excellence in Dentistry” and began attending numerous dental seminars traveling thousands of miles. In 1990, he received the prestigious award of “Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry.”
In 2000, he graduated from Capital University of Integrative Medicine in Washington DC earning the degree “Doctor of Integrative Medicine in Dentistry.” He also completed the “Fellowship in Natural Dentistry” and has focused on “Health Centered Dentistry.” Dr. Johnson has been accredited by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology for his methods of removing toxic dental materials. The model of the IAOMT is “Show me the Science.”
Dr. Johnson has also been recognized by his peers. He served for seven years on the North Dakota Dental Association Board of Trustees and held the President’s position in 1995. In 1995, he received the Young Dentist of the Year Award from the Dental Association. Since that time, he has remained active with the association serving on the Board of the North Dakota Dental Foundation and taking photographs for the NDDA’s publications.
Dr. Johnson is a fellow of the International College of Dentists and serves as editor for the North Dakota Chapter. Locally he has always been active in his community and has served in all capacities as a board member for St. John’s Lutheran Church, and served as Treasurer for the Richardton Lions Club.
In his past time, Dr. Greg loves to sail and kayak. His love of water must trace back to his Norwegian heritage. He also enjoys biking and the challenge of woodworking, photography, and homeowner repairs. Dr. Johnson's new dental office reflects his hands-on skills. He was involved in all aspects of its construction. Dr. Gregory J. Johnson is married to Lynne and they have two children Darren and Kristin.
